EXECUTIVE BIOS


TK Khan (President)

Mr. Khan, PG, has more than 30 years of experience as an Environmental Engineer and Program Manager serving the federal and state government sectors. His government agency engagements include complete program management for engineering, environmental geology and remediation, and construction management contracts to include clean up, renovation, removal, design-build and various other project scopes.

Mr. Khan began his career at SSGi in 2007 as President of Operations. He is responsible for overall company direction and policies, executive decisions, and business development. He also supports SSGi’s Contracts department.

Mr. Khan holds 2 Master’s degrees from Ohio University in Environmental Engineering and Geology.

Sheharyar Ali (Founder/CEO)

Mr. Ali, founder of SSGi, possesses more than 10 years of experience in all aspects of business operations and government contracting. Within SSGi, He is a hands-on executive, involved in every facet of business operations and customer development. Over the course of his career, Mr. Ali has transitioned and managed over a hundred business contracts to success. SSGi’s growth and success demonstrate Mr. Ali’s ability to rapidly adapt to new environments and responsibilities, to operate from a national perspective, and to integrate divergent concepts that result in creative solutions. His expertise in recruiting, retaining, and motivating superior talent for optimum performance has also served as one of the key attributes to the company’s significant growth. Mr. Ali places special emphasis on fostering an environment for success through his dedication to inclusive leadership and an open-door policy.

An advocate for delivering superior healthcare to the US government, Mr. Ali has been instrumental in obtaining healthcare delivery contracts with the Dept. of Defense, Dept. of VA, and various other federal agencies to provide healthcare personnel.

Mr. Ali holds a MBA from Sacramento State University.

Darrel Calipo (Program Manager Construction Services)

Mr. Calipo, with over 34 years of construction experience, has directed over $150 million in construction and design-build projects for Federal Agencies over the last 10 years. He specializes in DoD construction having managed multiple construction projects for the Navy, Army, Air Force and Marines. These projects have varied in sized from under $100K to $75M in cost. Functionally, his projects have varied from Child Development Centers, Armories, and Dining Facilities for new vertical construction and office administration facilities and SCIF space for renovation; while his horizontal construction experience includes utility systems and roadway improvements.

Mr. Calipo manages all construction operations at SSGi.

He attended San Diego State University and majored in business administration prior to starting his construction career.

Douglas Christensen, PE, PMP (Environmental and Engineering Services Manager)

Mr. Christensen has over 35 years of environmental and engineering experience. He is a PE in four states (CA, WA, ID and WI) and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). The last 20 years he has served as a program and project manager for DoD Indefinite delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. He has directed the execution of over $75M in engineering and environmental services involving the completion of over 50 task orders. His experience includes environmental investigations and remediation, vertical facility designs under both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build project delivery systems.

Prior to joining SSGi, Mr. Christensen was a Senior Program Manager at URS, MWH Global, and Tetra Tech. His experience includes completed projects at Nellis AFB, Hill AFB, Dugway Proving Ground, Tooele Army Base, Fort Irwin, Former McClellan AFB, Former Mather AFB and Former Alameda Naval station. At SSGi he manages projects including environmental site closures at the Navy’s Concord Naval Weapons Station, Former Naval Station Long Beach, and monitoring landfills at Fort Irwin.

Mr. Christensen holds an MS degree from Stanford University in Environmental and Civil Engineering and a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Washington State University.

Shannon Dawson (Office Manager)

Ms. Dawson has more than 18 years of experience in the Staffing Industry as a Manager providing temporary staffing for clients requiring Administrative, Technical and Labor contract services. She has 8 years in Contract Management and Operations Management with Federal Support Services contracts currently in 29 States, Puerto Rico, and Guam.  She has been successful in placing large number of personnel with her clients for Staff Augmentation, as well as Janitorial, Grounds Maintenance, Environmental, Healthcare, Construction Management and Services Contracts. She has management experience staffing projects with 300+ personnel per facility as well as On-Site Managers. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to: Meeting with Government Customers all over the United States, negotiations of Sole Source contracts, preparing and writing proposals for competitive bid set-asides, managing all Customer and Employee Relations issues, HR issues, Healthcare Insurance negotiations, Workers Compensation Underwriting, Audits, Billing and Collections.

She visits her current clients on a frequent basis to ensure these services are being performed in accordance to specifications.

Ms. Dawson has a Master’s Degree in Business Management and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Human Resources.
